Privacy Policy

Information you give us. When you submit our contact form or one of our planning tools, we collect the details you choose to share, which may include your name, email address, phone number, wedding date, budget range, guest count, style and priority preferences, and anything you tell us about your celebration. If you join our email list or download a guide, we collect your name and email.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically receive limited technical data when you browse, such as your device and browser type, pages viewed, referring links, and approximate (city-level) location, gathered through cookies and similar technologies for analytics. This is aggregated and not used to identify you personally.

• To respond to your inquiry and have a real conversation about your wedding.
• To plan, design, and coordinate your wedding if we work together.
• To send you the resource, quiz result, or budget summary you requested.
• To send occasional updates or newsletters, if you opt in (you can unsubscribe anytime).
• To understand which pages are helpful and improve the site.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

We share information only with the trusted services that help us run the business, and only as needed to provide what you asked for. Each has its own privacy practices:

• HoneyBook — powers our contact form and client communication, and stores your inquiry on our behalf.
• Google reCAPTCHA — protects our forms from spam; subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
• MailerLite — manages our email list and sends our emails.
• Make (Integromat) — securely routes your form/tool submission into MailerLite.
• Google Analytics and Vercel — website analytics and hosting.
• AI summary (Anthropic). Our budget tool may use an AI service to write a short, personalized summary from the non-identifying preferences you enter (your name and email are not sent for this).

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

We use cookies and similar technologies for website analytics (via Google Analytics and Vercel) to see which pages are useful. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking them may affect how some parts of the site work.

If you opt in, we may text you about your inquiry. Message and data rates may apply, and you can opt out at any time by replying STOP. We do not share your phone number for anyone else's marketing.

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including responding to your inquiry, fulfilling our work together, and meeting legal or accounting requirements. You can ask us to delete it sooner (see below).

We use reasonable organizational and technical safeguards, and work with reputable providers, to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take protecting your information seriously.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you have shared, or to stop emailing you, at any time. Just email abagail@elaborate.events and we will take care of it.

If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request access to or deletion of it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell your personal information. To make a request, email abagail@elaborate.events.

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, email abagail@elaborate.events and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time as our practices or the law change. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version, and the current version always lives on this page.
