“Tale As Old As A Timelord”
Woodinville, WA
On a summery day, a Tardis and an enchanted book whisked guests to the Hollywood Schoolhouse to witness the union of a Timelord, Brendan and his time bandit princesses, Abagail. Upon arrival attendees found themselves in a beautiful garden filled with tokens of Gallifrey and captivating florals for the ceremony. The reception was held in a historic hall that was brimming with roses, stories, music, laughter and enchantment to entrance them in love throughout the night. It was a memorable and mesmerizing night of love where time stood still for this timeless couple so filled with love for each other and all who attended
Every detail of their wedding had a meaning and a reason. This should not be surprising as the event itself was for the founder of Elaborate Events. The couple’s fondness for Dr. Who, Hollywood, Stories, and Beauty and the Beast were all brought together for their wedding day. The sheer fact the groom had always said the ideal date would be watching Dr. Who while eating Indian food, which became a reality with Abagail immediately made Dr. Who an integral part of the theme. The life-sized Tardis was handmade by the groom and several of his friends. Everywhere you turned that day there it stood in case the Dr needed to be carried away to save the day. Escort cards for the reception were Keys representing the key the Dr. gave out to his companions. This was the couples was of letting each of the guests know how special they were to them and their attendance meant the world to them. Little did any of them know that as a special gift Brendan had in fact given Abagail a real key to the Tardis as a wedding gift which made the whole concept that more special to her. Many other of the couple’s favorite elements from Dr. Who were scattered though out the entire day and into the night including the rose. Which at this particular wedding had two meanings. One representing the companion from Dr. Who said to be the most loved, Rose and the other representation being that of the enchanted rose from Beauty and The Beast.
Brendan and Abagail’s love for Disney, books, stories and transformation along with Belle being Abagail’s Disney Princess made Beauty and the Beast a natural selection as part of their theme. Red roses and rose petals were scattered throughout the day from decorations at the ceremony site, to the weeping angel flower girls story box, and the enchanted rose centerpieces. Mrs. Potts, Chip and a stunned Cogsworth even showed up to take part in the buffet. Even Abagail took on the Beauty and the Beast theme herself in the choosing of a royal blue ball gown adorned in baroque-esc silver and gold beading. Later that night she would change into a shorter dark blue and silver gown with Dr. Who Converse and moon and stars in her hair to reflect the night sky which the couple had chosen to project over the dance floor.
The night sky holds a special place in both their hearts as many of their first several dates would often end up with long walks under a star lit sky through the streets of LA and Hollywood where they first met. Time seemed to stand still for them on those nights which Brendan, the time lord attributed to Abagail being part time bandit. He is known to have said that when someone is with her they lose their sense of time and she takes them on an adventure that they don’t want to end. That exact feeling was felt that night, everyone was taken on an adventure through space and time where the love the couple had for each other and all who accompanied them flooded the galaxy.
xo, Abagail
